(june 2017) microsoft office 2016 on mac for free. I have a user that is using Microsoft Office Pro 2007 on a Windows XP SP3 machine. Lately when she tries to open an excel file from a networked drive, the Excel file opens perfectly but a Windows error pops up saying that it can't find the file and to make sure it is spelled correctly.
If she clicks OK, the file is open and she can do whatever to it and save it properly as well. This goes for any Excel file on this server. And she's the only person to have this problem. I've never experienced this before.
Has anyone else? Or can anyone think of any fixes?

If you remove a specific user access level, they'll just revert to the default setting. We also have reviewer set as default across all mailboxes. Occasionally I'll give a specific user a different level of access to a specific calendar (eg. Publishing Author). They can then amend the calendar at will. If I then remove their publishing editor rights, they revert back to the default 'Reviewer' level. It's probably easier to understand how this works if you look at permissions in the EMC.
There will be a list of permissions settings for a particular calendar. You'll see 'Default' and 'Anonymous' in there, and if you add specific user settings for anybody, you'll see a third entry appear for that person. When you remove their specific rights, it just deletes that third entry, and you're back to having only two permission levels for that calendar again, Default and Anonymous. The user will fall (hopefully!) into one of those two categories and receive those permissions.
Second Post by sergio Might help. Sometimes I've found that certain profiles get jacked up due to some possible hardware error / memory / cpu / other and these odd issues crop up.
